This ain't ordinary Chromexcel. North of the Cordovan is one way to name these beautiful horsehide strips. Located just above the area where Shell Cordovan is sourced, this leather has a beautiful shine and a tight grain. We love its versatility, while cowhide Chromexcel might not be the best choice for formal footwear, this one looks fantastic. But don't be fooled by the shiny and smooth surface, this leather can take a beating. Oxfords, chukkas, boots, loafers, chelseas. I can't think of a style that won't look great on horsehide Chromexcel.

Excellent purchase
The leather turned out to be a bit darker than I expected from the pictures, but looks great.
Navy Chromexcel 420 Captoes
Great looking pair of boots! Perfect balance between utilitarian and dressy. I can dress down with jeans or dress up with khakis/slacks. The navy color looks great, and John Doe Shoes was very accommodating, allowing me to customize the boot to my liking with options that were not available on the online order tool. Will definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of GYW boots without paying British prices!
